Webcam Not Working
For External Webcams
First, check your Zoom settings to make sure the webcam is correct set as your default camera.
With Zoom open, click your Initials, or profile picture at the top right, and select “Settings”
Select “Video” on the left side and click the drop down menu under “Camera”. Select the appropriate video input from this menu.
If your webcam is plugged in, but you do not see it in the drop-down menu, try the following:
- Unplug the webcam from the computer and plug it back in.
- Try a different USB port on your laptop or adapter.
- Restart the computer.
For Built-In Webcams
For Windows laptops, there may be a cover that slides in front of the webcam, or there may be a small slider at the very top of the screen. Ensure that the slider is completely open.
If the slider is completely open but the webcam is still not working, restart the computer.
